Mabel Horman, age 91, died Saturday November 10, 2012 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will be Monday November 12, 2012 from 4-6 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Funeral sercvices will be Tuesday November 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Bennett with Pastor Barbra Keiper officiating. Burial will be in Inland Cemetery, Bennett.\n Mabel was born July 31, 1921 in Dixon, Iowa to Otto and Annie Treimer Schmidt. She married Elmer Horman February 23, 1949 in Lowden.\n Survivors include her husband Elmer; Son Randall(Sandra) of Wheatland; daughter Pat Schulz of Calamus; Grandsons Eric(Patty)Schulz, Aaron(Megan)Horman; Josh(Jenny)Horman and Brandon(Jessie)Horman; Great grandchildren Nicole Schulz, Jena Schulz, Gavin Schulz, Carter Horman, Cadence Horman and Jamian Horman.\n She was preceeded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and a son-in-law.\n Mabel loved her family, flowers, birds, and sent cards out for all occasions. She never complained, and always worried about others rather than herself.
