Margaret L. Dunbar, age 93 of Clarence, passed away on Friday February 26, 2016 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M at St. John's United Church of Christ with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until service time at the church. Margaret was born on July 9, 1922 in Winterset, Iowa to Claude and Vera (Cole) Reed. She married Clarence Dunbar on October 13, 1940. He died in June of 1995. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Jan (Robert) Niermeyer of Clarence; sons, Don (Judy) Dunbar of Ankeny and Larry (Georganne) Dunbar of Zionsville, IN; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sisters, Fern Benge of Des Moines and Wilma Oglesbee of Indianola. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson; and a sister.
