Margaret A. Hansen, age 93 of Lowden, died Monday February 27, 2017 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday March 3, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Rev. Daniel Redhage officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Margaret was born on August 2, 1923 to Carl and Olga Conrad Buck in Rural Lowden. She married Harold Hansen on November 7, 1943 at Bennett. He passed away on November 21, 2015.
Survivors include son, Howard (Marilyn) of Lowden; daughters, Ellen (Harlan) Hanks of Tipton and Elaine (Howard) Conrad of Van Horne, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Roland (Cindy) Buck of Clarence and sister, Judy Wulff of Clarence.
Margaret was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of the Lowden Legion Auxiliary. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1940. She was a hardworking farmwife, a very caring person and she also loved her family and grandchildren very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sons, Roland and Russell and sisters, Marie Laing, Lydia Mensing and Gertrude Kopf.
