Marian A. Strunk, age 84, of Bennet Iowa, died Thursday, August 20, 2009, in the Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Marian was born December 8, 1924, in Clinton County, to Alfred and Florence (Barenthin) Licht. She married Elmer Strunk December 17, 1942, in Lowden. Alfred died in 1987. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24, at 10:30am at the Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will be at the St. John's Cemetery in Clarence, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9am until the service time at the church on Monday. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Marian is survived by her daughters Joyce (Robert) Feuss of Lost Nation and Donna (Dale) Tenley of Toronto, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Harlan and brother Bud.
