Marie Vander Heiden, age 97, died Thursday October 18, 2012 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Services will be Monday October 22, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Toronto at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday October 21, 2012 at Chapman's in Wheatland from 4-7 with a Vigil service at 7.\n Marie was born August 1, 1915 to John and Kathryn Ryan O'Neill in rural Wheatland. She married Hein Vanderheiden on June 28, 1938. Hein passed away January 5, 1972.\n Marie is survived by 2 sons, John (Wanda) and Tom (Karen) all of Wheatland and daughters Regina (Gaylon) Pewe of New Liberty, Kathy(Charles) Nicely of Wheatland and Sally Jacobsen of Dixon. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Deanna Vens of Wheatland, 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.\n Marie was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, son Dean, daughter Janice Mortenson, son-in-law Robin Jacobsen and daughter Rita Vanderheiden.\nMarie was a member of St. James Catholic Church along with being an avid card player and enjoying many card clubs. She was a Cubs fan and enjoyed her Sunday morning gatherings with her family.
