Marjorie Marie Lehrman, age 95 of Stanwood, passed away at the Clarence Nursing Home on Sunday November 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanwood with Reverend William Traphagan officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanwood Cemetery with lunch following at the Stanwood Union Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 8 from 4-7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Marjorie was born on October 2, 1923 in Massillon, Iowa to Albert and Marie (Stoffregen) Hamdorf. She married Frederick Lehrman on December 14, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanwood.
Marjorie went to the Massillon two room school before going to Lowden, where she graduated in 1941. She was a member of the Lutheran Church Loyal Workers Group when she was healthy, and enjoyed her crosswords and reading newspapers. Marjorie also liked gardening, canning, and dancing, and was a great cook.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick of Stanwood; children, Dee Ann (Robert Posik) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Darla (George) Walling of Stanwood, and Daren (Patti) of Stanwood; brothers, Harlan Hamdorf of Cedar Rapids and Wesley (Roberta) Hamdorf of Hiawatha; sister, Carol (Lyle) Kurth of Robins; and grandsons, Matthew Walling and Brady Lehrman.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marion.
