Mark D. Kleinsmith, age 53, passed away on Monday August 5, 2013 at his home in Walcott. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday September 7, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Elwood Cemetery with a lunch to follow.
Mark was born on January 14, 1960 to Clyde and Darlene (Rohwedder) in Maquoketa, Iowa.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Kleinsmith of Wheatland; significant other, Gwen Baker of Walcott; daughter, Kayla (Michael) Black of Davenport; brothers, Lance (Debra) of Jacksonville, Florida, Mitchell (Wanda) of New Orleans, Louisiana, John (Stacee) of Alaska, Scott (Amy) of Calamus, a step-son Angel Baker, and many nieces and nephews.
Mark was a hard working man who loved to fish, was a great cook and liked to barbecue. Mark had a way of making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with Gwen. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew Jeremy.
