Obituary

Marlene H. Ruchotzke, age 80 of Clarence, passed away Monday March 6, 2017 at her home. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday March 11, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Reverend Daniel Redhage officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lowden. A lunch will follow the burial at the church. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until service time at the church. Marlene was born on February 22, 1937 in Clinton County to Walter and Helen (Wray) Shedeck. She married Wilfred J. Ruchotzke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden on June 5, 1955. He died on November 27, 2008. Marlene started out in a small country school and went to Lost Nation for her middle school years up until 9th grade. She graduated from high school in Oxford Junction on May 19, 1955. Marlene helped her husband farm for over 50 years and was a loving wife and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping and making homemade wine. Those left to treasure her memory include her children Rhonda Ruchotzke, Mark Ruchotzke, and Terry (Becky) Ruchotzke; six grandchildren, Afton (Blake) Coleman, Kyle Thumser, Evan Ruchotzke, Madison Ruchotzke, Levi Ruchotzke, and Erin Ruchotzke; four great grandchildren, Brant, Scarlett, Bentley, and Laikyn; sisters, Violet (Larry) Fleshner, Eileen (John) Wosoba, and Teresa (Jack) Sides; and brother, DeWayne (Mary Joy) Shedeck. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Dolores Ruchotzke.
