Marvel J. Benischek, age 87 of Wheatland, passed away on Thursday August 19, 2021 at Wheatland Manor. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 23 at 10:30 A.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating. Burial will follow at Busch Cemetery in rural Lost Nation. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until service time. Marvel was born on January 1, 1934 to Lester and Viola Gronwoldt Creger in Elwood, Iowa. Marvel enjoyed her garden, crossword puzzles, coloring, and playing with her grandkids. She was a very caring woman and a hard worker. She is survived by her sons Dean and Alan (Mary) of Wheatland; daughters Wanda Felgenhauer of Bennett and Donna (Randy) Spengler of New Liberty; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brother Lowell (Bonnabell) Creger of Baldwin. Marvel was preceded in death by her parents; brother Larry; son Kevin; and son-in-law Jeff Felgenhauer.
