Marvin (1918-2006) and Doris (1928-2010) Horn of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Clarence, Iowa, have passed away. Graveside committal will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011, with Dr. Ruth Hempel and Fr. Dr. Sebastian Naslund, friends of the family officiating. Burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery in Clarence. Mr. & Mrs. Horn are former residents of Clarence, having resided the last 14 years in Harlingen, Texas. Particularly significant is that the 10th of June would have been their 65th wedding anniversary and this date was specifically chosen for the committal. Mr. Horn worked for many years for the Clarence Cooperative until his retirement. Mrs. Horn was a homemaker and worked part time for the Clarence Telephone Company. Prior to and after their retirement they were avid RV'ers and made many friends throughout the Midwest in their travels.
