Marvin J. Anderson, age 84, of Clarence, Iowa, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Clarence Nursing Home after a short illness. Marvin was born May 20, 1922, in Viroqua, Wisconsin to Charles and Lena (Gold) Anderson. Marvin Married Vera Gehrls on March 15, 1996 in Longview, Texas, she died in Feburary of 2003. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2006, at Utica Lutheran Church in Rural Mount Sterling Wisconsin, Iowa. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 on Friday, August 4, arrangements with Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua, Wisconsin and local arrangements with Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera, brother Clifford, and sister Arlene Henthorn. Marvin was survived by step-sons Steven Gehrls of Stanwood and Stewart (Laura) Gehrls of Hiawatha, brother Arthur and sister Kelly Gabrialson both of Viroqua, Wisconsin. Also surviving 2 step-grandsons Christopher and Chad and 1 step-great grandson Aidan.
