Matthew A. Licht, age 37, of Wheatland, Iowa, died November 6, 2007, in his vehicle near Lowden of a sudden illness. Matthew was born December 3, 1969, in Cedar Rapids to Alvin and Catharine (Oltmanns) Licht. Matthew married Deborah Leslein on April 3, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran church in Lowden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 12, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Dennis Arndt officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, November 11, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family are preferred. Matthew is survived by his wife Deborah; daughters Addison and Brianne; son Ryan; parents Alvin and Catharine Licht of Lowden; brother Noel (Robin) of Cedar Rapids; father in-law John Leslein of Bettendorf; mother-in-law Susan (Gary) Murphy of Myrtle Beach South Carolina; niece Emily Licht; and nephew Andrew Licht. Matthew was preceded in death by grandparents. Matt was a livestock and grain farmer and part time semi driver. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Farm Bureau, and enjoyed spending free time with his family.
