Maurice L. Klahn, age 71 of Lost Nation, passed away on Monday September 11, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A memorial service will be held on Friday September 29 at 4:00 PM at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence with Pastor Rodney Bluml officiating.

Maurice was born March 21, 1952 in Davenport to ML and Roberta (Jeffrey) Klahn. He married Darla Wulf on March 3, 1973 in Lost Nation.

Maurice is survived by his wife Darla; daughter Melanie (Trent) Gravel of Anamosa; son Cody (Jessica) of Marion; grandchildren Kaelynn, Brayden, Tysen, Dani, and Keeley; and sister Rita (Richard) Straka of Hampton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Maurice was a lifelong mechanic in Lost Nation and enjoyed deer hunting and ice fishing. He also was on a pool league and liked to rebuild vehicles in his younger years.
