Merle M. Fish, age 79, of Wheatland, Iowa, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Merle was born March 29, 1933, in Marquette, Iowa to Mearl and Lillis (McGowan) Sawvell. Merle married Crayton "Bud" Fish on June 1, 1951 in Waukon, Iowa. He died in May 12, 1996. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday June 20, 2012, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, with Diane Prichard officiating. Burial will follow at Big Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Chapman's Funeral Home in Wheatland. Merle loved gardening, quilting, her pets and being a homemaker. She is survived by a son Randall (Debra) of Leclaire, Iowa; six daughters, Marsha (Jim) Rorick of Big Rock; Barbara (Pork) Biddle of Toronto, IA; Debra Fish of Lowden; Tammy (David) Scheper of McCausland, IA; Patty (Eric) Gasper of Calamus; Stacy (Charlie) Iams of Grand Mound; seven Granddaughters; 1 Grandson; and 7 great granddaughters. Merle was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, and husband.
