Nellie A. Koth, age 94 of Clarence, passed away on Monday April 4, 2016 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Private family services will be held with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating and burial following at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 A.M at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence.
Nellie was born on March 29, 1922 to Charles Frederick and Henrietta (Story) Eggert in Rock Island, Illinois. She married Melvin Koth on March 17, 1946 at St. John's UCC in Clarence. He died in 1986.
Nellie loved baking chocolate chip cookies and enjoyed playing bingo & cards in past years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence and participated in women's fellowship. Nellie was also a past member of the OES and a former 4-H leader.
She is survived by her sons, Warren (Diane) of Lowden and Gene (Kathryn) of Clarence; daughter, Diane (Robert) Dircks of Tipton; grandchildren, Lori Hoffman, Colette Sander, Rachel Kelley, Aaron Koth, Kyle Koth, Lisa Messelheiser, Kris Koth and Megan Koth; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Minnie Baltisberger.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Ralph and Charles Eggert.
