Neva "Foxie" Hoffner, age 88, of Clarence, Iowa, died Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Neva was born March 5, 1918, in Urbana, Iowa to Fred and Blanche (Brody) Fox. Neva married George Hoffner May 20, 1939 at Iowa City. Neva "Foxie" Hoffner, age 88, of Clarence, Iowa, died Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Neva was born March 5, 1918, in Urbana, Iowa to Fred and Blanche (Brody) Fox. Neva married George Hoffner May 20, 1939 at Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 3, 2006, at Chapman Funeral Home, Iowa, with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 on Thursday, November 2, at the Funeral Home. She had worked as an accountant for Dayton Creamery in Clarence and Hometown Dairy in Cedar Rapids. Foxie was a member of St.John's United Church of Christ and American Legion Auxilliary-Clarence. Neva was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brevick Cherryholmes, and her two sisters and three brothers. She will be deeply missed by her husband George; daughters Nancy (Clarence) Parker of Richardson, Texas and Carol Cherryholmes of North Liberty; grandchildren Matthew and Andrew Parker, and Bradley and Richan Cherryholmes; and great grandchildren Laney Parker, Brevin and Branden Cherryholmes, and Dylan and Aaliyah Wilson.
