Norman C. Kroemer, 89, of Lowden, Iowa died Friday, December 29, 2005 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home.
Norman C. Kroemer was born on March 15, 1916 in Lowden, Iowa to Paul Kroemer and Elsie Pruess. Norman C. Kroemer married Elfrieda Horstmann December 10, 1939 at Lowden.
Norman attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Lowden High School in 1934. He farmed the family farm until 1978 when he retired to Lowden. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and it was a joy for him to be an elder when the new church was built. Norman was a charter member of the Lowden Lions Club and also had served on the Cedar County Board of Supervisors.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home-Clarence. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden on Saturday at 10:30 am. Reverend Victor Young will be officiating.
Norman C. Kroemer is survived by wife- Elfrieda; two sons Kenneth (Sherril) of Clinton and Leon(Karen) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kroemer, Jodi (Kirk) Johasson, Michael (D'Anne)Kroemer, Kristen (Greg) Jacobs; great grandchidlren Hannah, Luke and Joseph Jonasson; sister, Florene Kruckenberg, sister-In-Law, Veneta Kroemer, brother-In-Law, Henry (Betty)Horstmann, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edwin.
