Olga A. Kohnert, age 90, of Lowden, Iowa, died October 18, 2007, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home of a lengthy illness. Olga was born July 11, 1917, in Lowden, Iowa to William and Martha (Kruckenberg) Scheeper. Olga married William Kohnert October 6, 1946 at Lowden. He died January 21, 1994. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 22, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa, with Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 on Sunday, October 21, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Olga is survived by brothers Gerhardt (Marilyn) Scheeper of Calamus, Iowa, and Leroy (Vera) Scheeper of Davenport, Iowa; sister-in-laws Roberta Scheeper of Memphis, Tennessee, and Gladys Scheeper of Lowden, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Olga was preceded in death by parents, husband, and four brothers including a twin brother killed in Italy January 3, 1944 during WWII. Olga worked at the Lowden bank for 48 years in various positions.
