Patricia J. "Pat" Coppess, age 85, died Friday January 16, 2015 at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Memorial Services will be Monday January 19, 2015 at the Stanwood Union Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 3-6 Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be at a later date in the Stanwood Cemetery. Pat was born September 29, 1929 at Iowa City, Iowa to Louis R. and Mildred V. Howe Crock. She married Robert M. (Bob) Coppess Jr. on August 20, 1950 at the Stanwood Methodist Church. Survivors include sons Robert M. (Max) III (Grace) of Stanwood, Michael W. (Sue) of Indianola,Ia., David L. (Deana) of Urbandale,Ia., W. Brent (Debbie) of Buffalo Grove, Il., Brian B. (Patty) of Urbandale,Ia., Cameron S. (Becky) of West DesMoines and Daughter M. Dawn (Tom) Weiland of Stanwood. there are 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are special friends Sandy Boots and Donna Spooner. She was preceeded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Manor Nursing Home.
