Patricia H. Severin, age 80, of Clarence, Iowa, died on February 24, 2012 at Heartland Nursing Home in Galesburg, IL. Patricia was born March 16, 1931, in Cedar County to Richard Dircks and Della (Hartwig) Dircks. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa. Burial will follow at Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will start at 9:30 am and go until service time. Pat went to Mt. St. Claire college and received her teachers degree and then taught school for a short time. She is survived by 2 sons: Brian and Stan (Becky) Severin of Lowden; daughter Lisa Severin of Peoria, IL; grandchildren Patrick (Jen) Severin, Shari (Neal) Slaton and Sandi (Scott) Kallaus; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Scott and Madison Severin, Shelby, Tristan and Tatum Slaton, and Alli Kallaus; and brothers Dewey (Dorothy) and John (Joyce) Dircks of Clarence. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and sister Verna Lee Rix.
