Patsy "Pat" Ann Goldsmith, age 76, passed away on Tuesday July 4, 2017 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence with Rev. Ron Lashmit and Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams officiating. Visitation will be on Friday July 7 from 4-7 p.m. at Chapman's in Clarence. Burial will be in the Stanwood Cemetery. Pat was born on September 28, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa to Velmar and Bernice Poustian Wood. She married Harold Goldsmith on October 11, 1958 at the Stanwood Union Church. Survivors include her husband Harold; daughters Pamela Goldsmith of Mt. Vernon and Kathy Capalla (Danny Fortner) of Coatesville, Indiana; grandchildren Brittany (Jace) Ahrendsen, Michael (Tabitha) Drury, Matthew (Destiny) Capalla; great grandchildren Aiden, Victoria, Olivia and Bristol Drury, and Mia and Mason Capalla; brother Dean Wood of Anamosa and sister Doris Coiner of Olin. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carol Schroeder. Pat was a member of Post 286 Ladies Auxillary in Clarence. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, including taking care of her birds and flowers, and also spending time with her family and playing cards.
