Paul C. Heilmann, age 86, of Lowden, Iowa, died Died Sunday, September 3, 2006, at Genesis East Medical Center-Davenport. Paul was born April 30, 1920, in Holland Minnesota to Henry and Pauline (Engel) Heilmann. Paul married Deloresw Hein June 26, 1940 in Fairbanks Iowa.
Paul was a graduate of Fairbank High School and attended Gates Business College in Waterloo. He then was employed by New York Life Insurance Company. Paul enlisted in the Air Force and served during WW II. After the service and living in Waterloo he worked as a clerk payroll auditor sales marketing represenative and state branch manager in the property casualty Insurance business. Paul and Delores had lived in Dunkerton and he served on the school board for 8 years serving as president for 3 years. After retiring in 1984 Paul had been working part time for Bjornson Insurance Agency in Cedar Rapids. While living in Cedar Rapids, Paul was active at Bethany Lutheran Church. Paul was active in the American Legion and Order of the Blue Goose,an Insurance Organization. Paul and Delores moved to Lowden in 2003 and his hobbies were Golf, Bowling and fishing.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden Iowa on Wednesday September 6 at 10:30 am. Reverend Victor Young will be officiating.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob and sister Eleanor Northrup.
Paul was survived by his wife, Delores; sons Darrell (Janis) of Blue Grass, David (Cindy) of Goose Lake; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a brother Alfred "Fritz"(Miriam Jean) of Dunkerton.\n
