Paul R. Riedesel, age 87, of Wheatland, Iowa, died in his home Friday, July 17, 2009. Paul was born October 15, 1921, in Wheatland to Reuben and Florentina (Beckmann) Riedesel. Paul married Berneita Boelkens November 17, 1950, in Morrisson, Illinois. Paul was a retired farmer from the Wheatland area. Memorial services will be held at 7:30pm on Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Christian Free Lutheran Church in Wheatland, with Scott Grey officiating. His body has been cremated with internment in St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until service time at the church on Friday. Paul is survived by his wife Berneita; sons Charles (Laureen) of Beatrice, Nebraska and William (Gail) of Davenport; daughter Peggy Baker of Wentzville, Missouri; and 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
