Pauline Strackbein, 92, of Wheatland, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at the Wheatland Manor Nursing Home in Wheatland. Pauline was born on April 12, 1916, in Bennett, Iowa, to William and Mary (Hagge) Wagner. Pauline married Erich George Strackbein on May 1, 1943; he died on February 26, 1971. Funeral services for Pauline Strackbein will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with Reverend Lynne Bisson officiating and Sue Manson as organist. Visitation for Pauline Strackbein will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, December 26, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Pauline is survived by her daughters Gloria (Robert) Kuehl and Fern (Robert) Schlotfeldt both of Davenport; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pauline was proceeded in death by her parents and husband.
