Peggy J. Bishop, 56, of Lowden, Iowa, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Peggy was born on January 9, 1952, in Canton, Illinois, to Ulysses and Elenor (Groff) Bishop. Peggy had worked as a teacher's aid at North Cedar Schools. Peggy was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs. Funeral services for Peggy J. Bishop will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa. Burial will be at Van Horn Cemetery in Lowden, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. Peggy is survived by her daughter Heather (John) Hunter of Chicago; sons DeVere Pewe, Jr of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Shay Pewe of Lowden; 1 granddaughter Adelia; a very special friend Robert Fisher of Lowden and his children Michelle (Doug) Ramer of Joy, Illinois, Brian (Cindy) Fisher of Dewitt, Iowa and their children Nora, Doug, Caleb and Noah; a sister Carol (Dennis) Huff of East Peoria, Illinois. Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents and sister Adelia Pollit.
