Phyllis L. Bark, age 77, of Clarence, Iowa, died Wednesday September 1, 2010, in St. Luke's Hospital - Cedar Rapids. Phyllis was born July 9, 1933, in Clarence Iowa to Karl and Edna (Dahl) Krafock. Phyllis married Earl Bark on April 6, 1953, at St. John's Church in Clarence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 3, 2010, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 on Friday, September 3, prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to St. Lukes Hospice. Pallbearers will be Darrall Brick, Gerry Brick, Bricen Krafock, Lou Krafock, Dan Johnson, and Todd Boyer. Bob Wallet and Nic Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers. She was an active member of her church. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Earl; 3 daughters - Sandy (Todd) Boyer of Bettendorf Cathy (Dan) Johnson of Mt. Union, and Susan (Bob) Wallet of Richland, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Karen (Marv) Brick of West Branch; and 2 brothers, Verlyn (Janis) Krafock of Lowden, and Bricen (Arlene) Krafock of Clarence. Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister Bethany and her parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Bell for his kind words and guidance and the nurses for their excellent care and compassion.
