Ralph W. McCall of Mechanicsville died Monday, April 18, 2011 in his home. Ralph was born January 27,1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Art McCall and Verna (Baker) McCall. He married Martha Merlow on November 16, 1966 in Mechanicsville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville with Pastor Barb Krueger officiating. There will be a gathering of friends and relatives on Wednesday at 4:00-7:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Memorials may be made to Mechanicsville Fire and Ambulance Volunteers. Ralph had worked as a farmer and at Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids, and for the last 29 years was a trucker for Don Hummer Trucking. He is survived by wife Martha; daughter Michelle McCall and friend Rod Dickey of Mechanicsville; sons LeRoy (Tricia) of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Larry and his friend Regina Krenik of Mechanicsville; 5 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild; and sisters Mary (Burton) Rodman of Solin and Thelma Hubler of Lisbon. Ralph was preceded in death by parents and brother Lawrence.
