Randall F. Sander, age 81 of Clarence, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday May 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 16, 2014 at 10:00 A.M at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton with Reverend David Hitch officiating. Burial will follow at the Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 15, 2014 from 4-7 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Randall Frederick Sander was born on April 18, 1933 to Henry and Luanna (Freese) Sander in Clarence. He married Rosalie Missel on November 2, 1957 in Toronto, Iowa.
Randall was a life-long resident of Clarence, graduating from Clarence High School with the class of 1950. He served in the Army and was a Legion member for over 60 years. He also served on the school board during the merger of the Clarence-Lowden schools. Randall was in the trucking business and farmed in the Clarence area for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosalie; sons, John (Linda) of Clarence and Tony (Sherry) of Clarence; daughters, Judy (Dan) Hayes of Jackson, MI., Mary (Jim) Moroney of Muskogee, OK., Jen (Dan) Lange of Clarence, and Pat (Bob) Henneberry of Bernard; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
