Randall L. Scheer, age 66 of West Branch, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 3, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden at 10:30 am with Pastor Daniel Redhage officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church on Sunday, July 9 from 4-7 pm. Private family burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery.

Randy was born October 31, 1956 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Dorance and Dorothy (Meyer) Scheer. He was united in marriage to Emelita Aliganga on February 13, 1990 in Tipton.

Survivors include his wife Emelita; daughters Cassandra (Cale Raasch) and Sarah (Allan J. Furr) Scheer both of Ames; siblings Doug (Beth) of Marion, Karla (Brian Hintermeister) Scheer of Lowden, Dave (Jeanne) of Wheatland, Mike (Joy) of Clarence, Steve (Janet) of Lowden, Lisa (Jeff) Decker of Lowden, and Chris (Joan) of Lowden; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Benjamin Scheer.

Randy was a man that loved the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and farming. He also loved a good laugh and enjoyed playing cards with his family.
