Raymond A. Dunston, age 80, of Standwood, Iowa died Friday, May 23, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa after an extended illness. Ray was born on February 28, 1928, in Wever, Iowa to William and Mabel (Brandom) Dunston. Ray married Shirley Techau on September 18, 1949, in Standwood. Ray served in the Air Force from 1945-1948 and worked for Skelgas in Stanwood for 30 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 1:00 pm at Stanwood Cemetery. Per Ray's wishes, his body has been cremated and there will be no visitation. Raymond is survived by his wife Shirley; sons Dale (Marcia) of Stanwood and David (Nancy) of Wilton, Iowa; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert, of Marshalltown, Iowa. Ray was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
