Raymond C. Kroemer, age 91, of Lowden, Iowa, died January 10, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-Cedar Rapids. Raymond was born July 28, 1918, in Clarence, Iowa, to Carl Kroemer and Emma Brauer. Raymond married Doris Marquette May 9, 1943, at Stanwood. She died in 2006. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Victor Young officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church and arrangements are with Chapman Funeral Home-Clarence. Raymond had been a farmer and then retired from being a custodian at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. He was a Lions Club member and also a member of Cedar County Historical Society and Heritage Council on Aging. His church and family meant the most to him. He is survived by son, Lawrence (Sue) of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Emmillee (Dale) Dennison of Eagan, Minnesota; 3 grandchildren Kurt, Andy Kroemer and Susan Schappert; and also 4 great grandchildren Raymond was preceded in death by parents, wife, and sister, Irma Armstrong.
