Raymond "Chico" Boedeker, age 52, of Lowden, Iowa, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after sudden illness. Raymond was born to Norman and Eunice (Kruckenberg) Boedeker in Cedar Rapids on June 9, 1956. Chico married Lori Conrad on October 17, 1998 in Lowden. He had worked at IMS in Wilton. Chico was an avid sports fan especially softball, Nascar, golf and bowling. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden at 10:30am on Monday, March 23, 2009, with Rerverend Victor Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00pm on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Chico is survived by his wife Lori; stepson Jason Conrad of Lowden; stepdaughter Renae Conrad of Urbandale; mother Eunice Boedeker of Lowden; sisters Rita Boedeker of Phoenix Arizona and Ruth (Bob) Hedrick of Davenport; and nieces and nephews. Chico was proceeded in death by his father.
