Raymond John Hintz, age 87, passed away on Friday April 5, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland with Diane Prichard officiating. Burial will follow in the Massillon Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Ray was born on September 30, 1925 to Edgar Sr. and Mildred (Spencer) Hintz in Lowden. He married Lovice Fritcher on November 23, 1947 in Lowden. She died April 24, 2011. Mr. Hintz is survived by a daughter, Linda Steines of Toronto; two sons, Harlan of Toronto and Marvin (Cheryl) of Wheatland; four sisters, Darlene (Duane) Jennings of West Union, Doris (Arnold) Lehrman of Stanwood, Marge (Robert) Ford of Tipton, and Betty (Grant) Cobb of Silvis, Illinois; two brothers, Robert of McCausland and Edgar (Annie) of Lowden; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Luella Potter; and an infant sister.
