Raymond H. Wiese, age 83, of Lowden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 12, 2026 in Rock Island, Illinois, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on September 4, 1942, Raymond spent his entire life in the community he cherished, building a life centered on family, hard work, and quiet devotion to those he loved most.

Raymond was the beloved husband of Mary Josephine Wiese, with whom he shared a lifetime of marriage, memories, and unwavering companionship. Together they built a strong and loving family that remained the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Josephine Wiese; his two sons, Matthew Wiese and wife Carla Wiese of New Hampshire, and Mitchell Wiese and wife Dawn Wiese of New York. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Wiese and Garren Wiese, who brought him great joy and pride. He is also survived by his sister, Loretta Johnson, and brother-in-law Ken Johnson of Idaho.

Raymond loved camping, the outdoors, and the simple pleasures of life spent in nature. Whether gathered around a campfire, enjoying the quiet outdoors, or spending time with family, he found happiness in life’s simple moments and the people closest to him.

Raymond will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep roots in the Lowden community, and the love he carried for his family throughout his life. Though he will be greatly missed, the values he passed on and the memories shared with him will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Raymond’s life at the Van Horn Cemetery, rural Lowden.
