Reba R. Meyer, age 79, of Lowden, Iowa, died at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids on June 11, 2011. Reba was born June 29, 1931, in Calamus, IA to Charles H. F. Brockmiller and Thora May (Holst) Brockmiller. Reba was married to Dale Meyer on October 25, 1953 at Maquoketa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Rev. David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Hammerand, Christopher Hansen, Drew Dahms, Lance Richardson, and Zach Fadale. Pallbearers will be Joe Bonney, Andrew Maricle, Tyler Tharp, D.J.Fultner, Jacob Meyer, and Kory Gottschalk. She is survived by Pam (Mike) Jensen of Lowden, IA; Dale (Roxanne) Meyer of Oxford Junction, IA; Sandra (Brad) Bonney of Lost Nation, IA; Cheryl (Butch) Maricle of Austin, MN; Tina (Scott) Fadale of Bellevue, IA; Dawn (Scott) Richardson of Twin Falls, Idaho; Jodi (Denny) Fultner of Maquoketa, IA; Laura (Brian) Dahms of Monticello, IA; Kenny Meyer of Tipton, IA; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters Marilyn Bickel of Grand Mound, IA and Sharon Hayes of Calamus, IA. Reba was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale (he died April 14, 2004), 3 grandsons, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
