Robert H. Schwitzer, age 89, of Lowden, Iowa, died on January 6, 2012 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Robert was born July 16, 1922, in Cedar County to Herman Schwitzer and Martha (VonRoden) Schwitzer. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Father Gregory Steckel officiating. Burial will follow at at a later date in Inland Cemetery in Bennett. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm until service time at the Funeral Home. Robert was an inspector for J. I. Case for 33 years before retiring in 1982. He was a World War II Veteran, a Lowden American Legion, Amvets member, a former Lions member, and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Toronto. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by parents, an infant brother Harold, and 4 sisters Viola Johnson, Margaret Rose, Bernice Schoff, and Dorothy Dalpino.
