Robert Deney Robert L. Deney, 77, of Walcott, Iowa, died January 12, 2008, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House-Bettendorf. Robert was born June 23, 1930, in Russell, Iowa to James and Mary (Botkin) Deney. Robert married Barbara Morford on August 15, 1948, at Russell, Iowa. Barbara Morford died on August 11, 2007. Robert worked for 35 years at International Harvestor, East Moline, retiring in 1979. Afterwards, he worked for Hawkeye Distributing from 1987 to 2007. He also had worked as a bartender at Knutsen's Hall in Stockton for many years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Cemetery Dixon, Iowa, with Pastor Eddie Adcock officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Robert is survived by his daughter Sue Motz of Dixon, 2 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friend, Sherry Johansen and her son, Sean. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 10 sisters, and 4 brothers.
