Robert Wendt, age 71, of rural Stanwood, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his home after a sudden illness. Robert was born on June 16, 1936, in Olin, Iowa to Ernest and Lillian (Neese) Wendt. Robert married Phyllis Wagner on August 17, 1957 in Stanwood, Iowa. Robert was a lifetime farmer. There will be no services or visitation, per Robert's wishes and his body was cremated. Robert is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughter Ronda Pelzer of Minnesota, sons Ryan of Clarence and Rodne of Stanwood and 2 grandchildren.
