Roger L. Gottschalk, age 54, of Lowden, Iowa, died Wednesday Feb.14, 2007, at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a long battle with cancer. Roger was born Oct. 19, 1952, in Dewitt, Iowa to Robert and Helen (Stolte) Gottschalk. Roger married Luann Schlueter November 29, 1970 in Lowden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Zion United Church Of Christ in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will follow at Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 16, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Roger was preceded in death by his grandmother Sarah Stolte, his father Robert and brothers Randy and Ricky. Roger was survived by his wife, Luann, his sons, Kyle of Lowden, Todd and his fiancee Chelsea of Clarence, grandchildren Jeighce, Kory, Kaci, Jasmine, his mother Helen Gottschalk of Lowden, his sisters Barbara Jones of Lowden and Becky Ackerland of Davenport, and his brother Royce of Lowden.
