Ronald Oscar Johnson, age 87 of Iowa City, passed away on Friday April 15, 2022 at the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown. Per Ronald's request, cremation rites were accorded and there will be no services. Ronald was born on September 5, 1934 to Willard and Lena (McLaughlin) Johnson in Cosgrove, Iowa. Ronald served his country in the Army and was an independent man who loved to fish. He is survived by his sons Jerry (Karen) of Stanwood and Joel (Laura) of Raleigh, NC; daughters Lori Johnson of Cedar Rapids and Lisa Petersen of Kalona; and 10 grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and a sister.
