Ronald L. Steines, age 60, of Toronto, Iowa, died on December 27, 2010, at Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport. Ronald was born January 17, 1950, in Rock Island, Illinois. to Delbert Steines and Betty (Leonard) Steines. Ronald married Linda Hintz on January 18, 1985, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. A celebration of his life and luncheon will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Heinee Jo's in Toronto, Iowa. The body has been cremated. Arrangements with Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland. Ronald was a member of Wheatland American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, golfing, trapping, and his dog Muskrat. He is survived by his mother, Betty Nerhus of Lost Nation; wife, Linda; son, Ryan and friend Michelle Griesbach of Toronto; daughter, Tiffany of Dixon, Iowa; sisters, Shirley (Jerry) Emmert of Calamus, Susan (late Kenneth) Beuthien of Eldridge; Bonnie (Tom) Booth of New Boston, Illinois; Deb Grau and special friend Don Seifert of Wheatland; several nieces and nephews; and two brother-in-laws: Harlan Hintz of Toronto and Marvin (Cheryl) Hintz of Wheatland. Ronald was preceded in death by his step-father, Don Nerhus, and brother-in-law, Ken Beuthein.
