Russell L. Dauber, age 60, of Stanwood, Iowa, died in his home Saturday, September 5, 2009. Russell was born July 20, 1949, in Cedar Rapids to Lowell and Hazel (Leinen) Dauber. Russell married Lois Seeley Aug. 19, 1983 at Blackriver Falls Wisconsin. Russ served in the Navy and had worked as a diesel mechanic at Truck Country in Cedar Rapids for over 25 years. He was a member of Freemont Masonic Lodge #616 of Stanwood and the Stanwood Volunteer Fire Dept. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Pastor Phil Leipold officiating. Following the services, his body will be cremated with internment at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, at Chapman's with a Masonic Service at 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Stanwood Volunteer Fire Department. Russell is survived by his wife Lois; son Michael (Joyce) of Stanwood; daughter Sara(Adam) Sandberg of Mechanicsville; step-daughters Laura Kramer of Walker and Robin Vorwald of Stanwood; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Richard.
