Sandra Kay Becker, age 74, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Clarence, Iowa, died Tuesday May 22, 2012, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sandra was born July 27, 1937, in Kewanee, Illinois to Emril Carlson and Opal (Kimberling) Carlson. Sandra married Ralph Becker on December 8, 1973 in Bennett. He died in 1995. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday May 25, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bennett, with Pastors Kurt Larson and Joshua Reinche officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lowden, IA. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Clarence Fire Department or the Clarence ambulance. Sandra worked 18 years at General Telephone in Kewanee, Illinois. She is survived by stepmother Betty Carlson; stepbrother-in-law Ron Reicks;\nniece and nephew Phyllis and Duane Baker; great-nephew David (fiancee Deb) Baker; and other nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and stepsister Sharon.
