Sophie Hoffner Kahl, 90, of Clarance, Iowa died Monday, December 12,2005 at Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab. Sophie Hoffner Kahl was born on Jan 27, 1915 in Calamus, Iowa, to Henry Lange and Minnie Schlichting. Sophie Hoffner Kahl was united in marriage to Henry Hoffner, Jr. in 1933 and John Kahl in 1963. Funeral Services will be held at Chapman Funeral Home Clarence on Friday, December 16, 2005, at 10:00 AM with Carmen Jamison officiating. Burial will be at Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15th at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Sophie Hoffner Kahl is survived daughters: Rhoda Flockhart and Betty(Pat) Blake of Clarence, step son: Richard(Audrey) Kahl of Clarence, sisters: Emma Meyers of Tipton and Alfrieda Hutchinson of Mechanicsville.
