Stanley D. Boedeker, age 49, of Lowden, Iowa, died in his home on February 25, 2010. Stanley was born November 28, 1960, in Cedar Rapids to Donald and Carol (Freese) Boedeker. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 1, 2010, at Zion United Church Of Christ in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will follow at Van Horn Cemetery in Lowden. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, February 28, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Stan worked at Rex Feed & Elevator in Lowden and farmed which was his passion. He also enjoyed working in his shop and Nascar racing. He is survived by his companion, Rita Mayerhofer of Lowden; his parents, Don and Carol Boedeker of Lowden; brother, Steven (Patricia) of Bennett; sister, Sally Jo (Larry) Snyder of Blue Grass; sister, Susan (Mel) Monson of Davenport; brother, Scott of Lowden; 2 step-daughters, Heather (Troy) Randall of Urbana and Tomi (Shane) Fuchs of Cedar Rapids; 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
