Sue Ann (Jensen) Isaacson, 65 of Anamosa passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics after suffering a sudden stroke on November 24. She had just hosted a delightful Thanksgiving meal with her extended family on Sunday November 23, 2014.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational UCC Church in Anamosa by the Rev. Greg Griffin. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland.
Sue was born November 2, 1949 to Dale and Lois(Busch)Jensen at St. Lukes Hospital in Davenport. She graduated from Lowden High School and attended Muscatine Community College and Airline school.
Her life's journey took her to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Michigan and finally returning to Iowa for retirement. Sue's life experiences included working for an interior decorator and becoming an insurance claims adjuster and actuary. She reveled in computer programming and became passionate addressing technology challenges.
Sue loved life, always finding opportunities to be with family and friends. Her faith in Christ was vibrant to the end, and with joy she shared this faith with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Jim "Ike"; two sons Aaron and Joshua Thies; one granddaughter A'Reecia Thies; two stepchildren Chris(Jennifer)Isaacson and Marci Isaacson; her mother Lois(Jensen)Latare; two brothers Alan(Laurie)Jensen and Mark(Mary)Jensen and a sister Judy(Bob)Tucker. Not to be forgotten are Nibbles and Spuds, her affectionate canine companions.
She was preceeded in death by her father Dale Jensen and step-father Don Latare.
