Terry "Pete" Peterman, age 60, of Stanwood, Iowa, died on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Terry was born August 9, 1950, in Cedar Rapids to Donald Peterman and Bette (Kinnan) Peterman. Terry married Peggy "Hyde" Miller on June 15, 1996 at Stanwood. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Stanwood Union Church, with Pastor Phil Leipold officiating. An inurnment will be at a later date. The family will greet friends from 12:30 pm until service time at the church on Sunday, arrangements are with Chapman Funeral Home-Clarence. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Terry had been in the propane business and was a former manager of Skelgas. He had served 10 years on the Stanwood Fire Department, he was a volunteer driver for the Mississippi Regional Blood Center and belonged to Fremont Masonic Lodge. Terry loved baseball, his dog "Jake" and his 1989 Lincoln town car. He is survived by wife Peggy; sisters: Chris ( Robert) Meyer of McGregor and Tracey (Pat) Downey of Bettendorf; brother in law Harvey Hein of Lowden; mother in-law Phyllis "Hyde" Hanus of Stanwood; step-son Ron (Emily) Miller of Wilton; 2 step grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild.\n \nTerry was preceded in death by parents and sister Sharon Hein.
