Troy R. Brown, age 31, of Stanwood, Iowa, died August 5, 2009 at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Troy was born in Cedar Rapids June 4, 1978, and married Melissa Koberle Febuary 1, 2003, in Cedar Rapids. He had worked as an electrician. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8 at 10:30am at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa. Following the services his body will be cremated with inurnment at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, August 7, at the Chapman Funeral Home. Troy is survived by his wife Melissa and sons Xzavior, Oakley, and Cohen all of Stanwood; his mother and father Frank and Terry Lyon of Clare, Iowa; his lifelong mentor Dave Wallace of Cedar Rapids; step sisters Tammy Alscott of Ft. Dodge and Jessie Lyon of Ft. Dodge; step brothers Chris Lyon of Des Moines and Frank Lyon, Jr of Ft. Dodge; grandparents Robert & Dorothy Brown of Cedar Rapids. Troy was preceded in death by grandmother Carol Morrow.
