Vernon E. Busch, age 69, passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M at the St. Paul Cemetery in Wheatland with military honors. Father William Kneemiller will be officiating. Vernon was born on November 12, 1943 to Vernon Laschanzky and Madeline McAllister in Davenport, Iowa. He married Barbara Nacco on December 28, 1965 in Marengo, Iowa. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Vernon is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Michael of Grimes; daughters, Dania (David) Ryburn of Des Moines, Joel (Jeff) Hoffman of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jenifer (David) Grissom of Indianola, Iowa; grandchildren, Jacob and Kassidy Busch, Shannon Gillespie, Madeline and Noah Hoffman, Koelton Grissom and Jaiden Wallander; great grandchildren Nakiyah, Naleiyah, Santayah and Santiago; brothers John, Douglas, Jeff and William Busch; sister, Susan Pederson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas; and grandson, Justin.
