Virginia R. Rothbart, age 95, of Wheatland, Iowa, died at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home on August 25, 2010. Virginia was born August 16, 1915, in Wheatland to William Meves and Florentine (Schneider) Meves. Virginia married Carol Rothbart on March 25, 1942, at Wheatland. He died in 1998. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 27, 2010, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Iowa, with Reverend John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, at the Funeral Home. Virginia and husband Carol had farmed west of Wheatland. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She is survived by daughters: Diann Rowold and Rosemary Stewart both of Wheatland; Granddaughter Holly Dwyer of Calamus; grandson Ross Rowold of Wheatland; Great-grandchildren Allison, Kaitlyn, Carter Dwyer, Riley, and Tyler Rowold. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Phyliss.
